Urban Modern Wedding Bouquets at Old Town Florist January 25, 2008
Urban Modern. Think monochromatic, clean and elegant. In the heart of the Pearl, where high style weddings are the order of the day, a bridal bouquet of all lime green cymbidium orchids is the perfect fit.
Another urban modern option is a monochromatic palette using gorgeous lady slipper orchids, green hyperium berries and lime green spider mums, finished with a touch of copper ribbon. This is a stunning choice for any bride or bridesmaid in a high style urban wedding.

Power Palette January 9, 2008
The new issue of Oregon Bride Magazine features a really great article on the non-traditional color choices of modern brides. The five-page spread features floral designs by Quince Flowers & Events and letterpress designs by Studio Olivine, two of our Perfectly Pearl participants. The highlighted color palette of turquoise, red and green is a really bold color choice, but in capable hands the result is stunning.

Fall Wedding Flowers by Quince December 5, 2007
Early fall weddings are prime time for robust red color palettes. Quince Flowers & Events designed this red and green themed wedding with a liberal serving of seasonal flowers. They used lots of dahlias, chocolate sunflowers, passion vine, and other seasonal goodies.
Quince’s tabletop design pairs a visually striking combination of natural linens and dark urns. The use of red-papered favor boxes and flowers creates a polished and pulled-together look.
Tips from Quince
- With red and green, it’s important to prevent the palette from becoming christmassy, especially for a fall wedding. It’s a striking color combination when designed effectively!
- It’s always a good idea to think of the whole table when designing the centerpiece and not just the flowers alone.
