Clyde Common has created the perfect bridal beverage. It’s called Champagne & Roses, a delicious combination of bubbly and house-made rose petal sorbet. Mmmmmmmm!
Complimentary samples will be available at the event tomorrow.
Cheers!

Thoughts on the Big Day February 29, 2008

Wow. I can hardly believe that our big day is almost here. The first Perfectly Pearl modern bridal event is being held tomorrow at the Ecotrust Building. We’ve received many emails with questions about the event. Here are some of the more common questions and answers.
Q. Is there an admission fee
A. Nope. Perfectly Pearl is perfectly free.
Q. Where is the Ecotrust Building?
A. 721 NW 9th Avenue
Q. Where should I park?
A. Smart Park at Station Place. We’re offering a complimentary shuttle service to and from the parking garage. Read more about that here. There will be signage, so look for that!
Q. What’s a silent auction and what’s in it?
A. Read all about it here. Don’t forget that proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Central Portland Families.
We’re all looking forward to our big day and to meeting all of you.
See you at the show!

The Cleaners at Ace Hotel February 28, 2008

Just past Clyde Common is The Cleaners—an event space named after the previous occupants, Peacock Drycleaners. This wide open space is the ultimate blank canvas for weddings. It’s outfitted with floor-to-ceiling windows, surround sound speakers, high blank walls, lofted ceiling, beautifully restored hardwood fir floors, gallery style lighting, high quality AV system with DJ plug-ins and DJ booth, and wrap around window seating.
The Cleaners and Clyde Common are located in the Ace Hotel.
The Clyde is sending members of its stellar bartending staff to represent both The Cleaners and Clyde Common Catering at the Perfectly Pearl modern bridal event this Saturday. I hear they will be serving complimentary champagne sorbet cocktails. Stop by the bar (3rd floor of Ecotrust) to learn more about both of these businesses.

Silent Auction February 27, 2008

On Saturday, the Perfectly Pearl modern bridal event is hosting a silent auction to benefit Central Portland Families.
What is a silent auction?
Event participants have donated goods or services that will be auctioned to the highest bidder. We will have the items on display at the silent auction gift table. Each item for bid will have a bid sheet and attendees are able to write in their bid. If you’re the last (and subsequently highest) bid, you’re the winner. Proceeds from this auction will benefit Central Portland Families.
Who is Central Portland Families?
Central Portland Families (CPF) believes that families are good for the central city, and the central city is good for families. CPF serves families that live, work and play in Downtown, Central East Side, Northwest Portland, Old Town Chinatown, and The Pearl by developing programs that build community and an advocacy voice for families. This group of unpaid volunteers is a collaborative effort between parents, grandparents, children, business owners and caring neighbors. Since their formation in November 2007, volunteers have created a free weekly indoor play space for all central Portland children, and founded Family First Sunday to connect neighbors. Volunteers are also educating city leaders to understand that all families in central Portland will benefit if the city fulfills their own published plans to use Urban Renewal Area funding to build a community center, childcare and school.

- The silent auction will open at 11 a.m. and close at 3 p.m.

Bridal Bliss on AM Northwest February 25, 2008
Did you catch Nora Totonchy, President of Bridal Bliss on AM Northwest this morning? She gives great advice on how to avoid common wedding mistakes.
No tickets required February 24, 2008
With all of the boutique weddings shows charging steep admission fees, it’s no wonder that we’ve gotten emails asking about ticket prices and admission charges. But, in a word, the Perfectly Pearl modern bridal event is FREE.
With that said, it’s really helpful to us to know how many of you are planning to attend, so if you have a moment, send us an email. RSVP@perfectlypearl.com We still have a little room on our VIP bride list, so if you’d like to be VIP and receive a nice little bag of swag, please let us know.
